“As a two-time Olympian, I spent the better part of 20 years seeking a mental edge over my competitors. THE ART OF WAR AND BASEBALL combines insight into the psychological, emotional, and spiritual sides of competition that I wish I had access to earlier in my career. The range of depth in Turilli’s work is amazing. You can spend five minutes reading a chapter and take away impactful, yet down to earth, advice based on his novel observations. On the same chapter, you could also spend five hours reflecting on deeper meanings and connections throughout your entire life. I will recommend Turilli’s book to individuals, young and old, looking to further grow their understanding of how their mind shapes their reality.”

ABOUT THE BOOK
What is baseball but a metaphor for life? This is the question that confronted Turilli one day while he was out on the field coaching his son’s youth baseball team. That day, THE ART OF WAR AND BASEBALL was born and later developed into a series of daily reflections for all of life’s coaches. Theorizing on an array of common language around the game, Turilli reveals baseball as a school of philosophy on how to live harmoniously within a world that is uncertain and often dangerous. This collection provides the reader a season of reflection and guidance on whatever life throws their way.
